Diana Bayer

Hi, I'm Diana Bayer your newsletter editor. For those of you who don't know me, (and I can't imagine who you are that have missed my loud mouth at a horse show) this is my bio.

I have been riding since I was a teenager competitvly and before that I was a city kid who just bummed rides where I could get them. I presently own and run a stable called HeronCrest out near Smiths Falls, where I teach dressage and ride with my daughters, and live with my family. Most of you who have been to a show will have seen me on a big white mare named Aurora and if you have been around a while you might even remember her mother a big chestnut mare that I evented by the name of Spartan Dream (out of control most of the time).

I have come through alot of riding styles to eventually land at the root of all things in dressage. I still like to play at the local fairs and even take Aurora western from time to time. I believe if you do it right then you should be able to cross over to what ever you want to do. And I realy hate it when people say dressage is for old ladies who are too scared to jump! Because I still do, (I just don't find it very fun to do everyday.)

So send me your funny stories and maybe they can end up in the newsletter.

Cheers

Diana Bayer.
