We Heard You: A 5th Show is Coming to the 2026 OADG Virtual Dressage Show Series

You asked, and we listened. By popular request, the OADG is adding a fifth show to the 2026 Virtual Dressage Show Series — and we saved the best name for last.

Whether you're a junior rider just starting out, an adult amateur fitting rides in around a busy schedule, or an open competitor looking for more feedback — the OADG Virtual Dressage Show Series is for you. Each show offers professional judging, detailed feedback, and real ribbons. No trailer. No travel. No 5 a.m. braid-up. Just you, your horse, and a video camera.

Three Shows Still to Come

The series kicked off in the winter and we've already had some wonderful rides come through. But the season is far from over — three shows remain on the calendar:

Fall Foliage & Fancy Footwork Virtual Dressage Show Closing date: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 | Judge: Annalise Jessup

🎃 NEW: Dressage Spooktacular: Wicked Walk-Pirouettes Closing date: Tuesday, October 13, 2026 | Judge: TBA

That's right — we're ending the season in style. Whether your horse is genuinely spooky or just playing the part, this one's going to be a good time.

Compete in all three remaining shows and you'll be well on your way to qualifying for year-end awards at the Annual Awards Banquet — OADG members who compete in a minimum of three shows throughout the series are eligible.

How It Works

Film your test at home following our Video Recording Guide, then submit your entry through our online entry form and send your payment via e-transfer to OttawaAreaDressageGroup@gmail.com (put your name and "virtual show" in the message — our treasurer Sue will thank you!).

We accept all CADORA and USDF tests from Walk-Trot through Fourth Level, including Freestyles and Prix Caprilli. Your ring doesn't need to be officially measured — just flat, clearly marked, and a reasonable size for the test you're riding.

Every competitor receives a complete scoresheet with the judge's comments. Ribbons are awarded to 5th place in all classes.

A $5 administration fee applies per entry. If you can't pick up ribbons in Stittsville, we can ship them for $15.
